The Directors of Gallery Opium are delighted to present "Chi, Breath Of Life, Power That Moves The Universe", a unique solo exhibition showing the works of mixed media artist Ingrid Van der Heyden for the first time in Thailand. Personals, Dating, Singles, Love, Friendship and Romance FREE site! Chi can not be seen, Chi does not exist outside the shapes she embodies. With the aid of oxygen, gravity and the magnetic field of the earth, internal Chi can be produced which can be moved along the meridians, nerves and blood vessels under the guidance of the will. "Inhale deeply and direct the chi down for fixation and consolidation. Then exhale as if a plant sprouts and grows up. Thus, the chi goes up and down like the heaven and the earth move, conforming to the law of life, otherwise death occurs." (Chi directions made in 380 BC can be seen in the Palace Museum in Beijing) Belgian born artist, Ingrid Van der Heyden, studied free graphic art and ceramics for several years, and studied with a renowned artist on eco-design & assembly techniques in Belgium. During a three year sojourn in China (Shanghai) she studied Traditional Chinese Painting with Mr.Gao Xingkui, first rank artist, obtaining her 3rd level Master Degree. She has participated in many group exhibitions and contemporary art projects in Europe and Asia. Gallery Opium is a new showcase for Thai & Foreign contemporary Artists to exhibit their work in Pattaya. Exciting art exhibitions in different disciplines are being planned for the next 12 months.
